    Florida Income Tax
I relocated to Florida in 2006 from South Carolina. I am still employed by my Employer in South Carolina, and am allowed to work from home and travel as necessary. Is it possible to obtain my salary from my employer in South Carolina without state income tax deductions, as I live in a state which does not deduct state income tax ? If so, what steps should I take ? Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Steve.

    Steve:

You worked part of the time in South Carolina, so you will have to file a South Carolina state tax return for 2006 as a part-year resident.

However, if you now work and live in Florida, you can instruct your employer to stop withholding SC taxes, as you are no longer liable for them.
