I have a 28 day cycle. Regular periods and I am not on any birth control. Last month my cycle was 32-33 days instead of my normal 28 days, which means I was around 4-5 days late. I was worried as I have never had a period that's been late before. I thought I might have been pregnant as I had unprotected sex with my Husband a few times. HPT came back negative, so it made me more confused. After 5 days late I came on, however it was not like my usual heavy painful period it was light with hardly any pains. So due to being late in January I was unsure when my period was going to come in February - 28 days from when I was suppose to come on, or 28 days from when my period ended up coming. However I started bleeding a few days before my period should have came. It started light, light brown and I have no pains. Now its dark brown/black blood/discharge. So unusual, I also have no pains but really sore breasts. Could I be pregnant and still bleed?

HPTs are pretty accurate, but the only way to be sure is to visit a doctor. It is possible to have some bleeding especially early in the pregnancy.
