Having never moved a furnace before I hope this is not a dumb question. I need to move a used furnace about 2 hours in a mini van. Can it be laid on its back/side or will that cause pieces inside to move and need repairing. Does it have to be standing up?

Most are transported upright but I've seen many and transported many laying down.
