Okay it has been more than 15 years since I have seen this and I cannot find it anywhere. I watched it on TV in the early 90's and from what I remember, it was a race of slaves that were trapped underground. One of them starts a revolution and convinces them to escape with him. I do not think they were human - weird looking. At the end, they find the exit of the underground maze and see daylight for the first time. Any ideas? Thanks!
