    Shower too hot
My guest room bath tub and shower is extremely hot to the point of not having cold water. I have a single knob (off/on to cold/hot water). This only occurs in the guest bathroom all other water outlets are fine. The kit is a moen. Can anybody help?

    Hi Matthew...

A name on the valve would help here, but for now, the first thing to check would be the TEMPERATURE LIMITING DEVICE (TLD)... usually found under the handle or under the trim of the shower valve.

A TLD can have gears (Delta/Kohler) or it can be as simple as a screw (Symmons) so look around under the handle or trim and see what you find and if adjustments can be made.

Start there and pop back to let us know what you have discovered, OK?

PS: I'll be checking back in around 8:00 (East coast time).

Moen has tutorials that should help you clean out any debris, think that's your problem, debris in cold inlet. Installation Help / Animated Tutorials for Moen Faucet

    Good point, Bob...

I guess I should have asked if this was a new issue or an ongoing issue, huh?

    Let us know more here...
