Our water was turned off for a while because we just moved into the home. We have no hot water in upstairs tub or sink and no hot water in just the downstairs bathroom sink... no water comes out at all please help

Gas or electric heater? When you turn on just a hot tap do you get cold water or no water at all. Try opening the drain tap at the bottom of the heater, get good flow, what temp?
