    Heat pump thermostat wiring
Bryant packaged heat pump 607cnxa360000abtp with cpheater066a00 15kw wired to ritetemp 6030. Recommended wiring from ritetemp support is wht(w1) to w2 on thermostat vio(w2) not used yel(y) to y, grn(g) to g,red(r) to rh, brn(c)to c, orn(o) to o. Shouldn't w1 go to w1 and w2 go to w2 for the backup heat to work right?

    T-Top
w1 and w2 are tied together inside the unit, unless the wires are cut to stage the electric heat, w1 or w2 brings on all heat strips. If you used a 3 stage heat thermostat before you will need to hook it up for all heat strips to work.
