Dui in Fla-NJ license-completed comm svs, fines-what is my liability in NJ
Received DUI in Fla-have NJ license - completed 70 hrs community svs, paid all fines and legal expenses to Fla except for 12 hr DUI school which I am scheduling now -- what is my legal and financial liability in NJ? Will NJ "double dip" -- my NJ license is suspended for 6 months. Thank you for your help.

I'm not sure what you mean by "will NJ 'double dip?'" I gather from your post that you were convicted of DUI in Florida, sentenced in FL and served/are serving your sentence in FL, i.e. paid your fines, legal expenses, attending DUI school and surrendered your (NJ) license for 6 months. That said, you will not be re-convicted or re-sentenced in NJ for your DUI. However, you will not be able to renew your NJ license, if that's your intention, until your 6-mo. Suspension imposed by FL is up. Likewise, you will not be able to acquire a license in any other state until the end of the 6 months. The only other expense you face is increased insurance premiums, which will occur regardless of which state you obtain insurance in (after your license is restored.)
