How I collect from a surety bond
How do I go after a contractor's bond now that I received a judgement in small claims court for not paying me for work done

Basically (and I don't know where you are): Some surety companies REQUIRE that you obtain a Judgment before they pay. The procedure is to notify the company IN WRITING, enclosing a copy of the Judgment, that the Judgment has been granted.

If the company does not pay, you may also have to sue them. Were they co-defendants or third-party defendants in your Small Claims Court lawsuit?

    Hello I:

His bond protects his customers, not his subs. You need to find some other asset.
