Dead Beat Dad who wasn't there for 11 years wants to be there know?
Been rasing my son for 11 years alone, No child support or interest from the biological father. Know after 11 years, he calls and says I want to be there. Does he have any right to walk in and act like he has rights? My boyfriend and I will one day get married and are living together as a family. My son loves my boyfreind as his dad. Can the biological father walk in and disrupt our family know...

    Hello s:

I don't know about disrupt, but if you did NOTHING about his rights to date, he certainly CAN assert them now. You say he didn't pay child support, but it looks like you didn't go to court to FORCE him to pay child support. That's on YOU - not him.

So, now you need to go to court and get a child support and visitation order. Is the judge going to let him just waltz in and take up where he left off? No, of course not. I'll bet his limited visitation will be ordered to be supervised...

    It's "now".

"Know" and "now" are not even homynyms. The vowel in "know" is pronounced like in "show" or "snow". The "o" in "now", on the other hand, is pronounced like in "cow".

"Know" means to have awareness of. "Now" means at the present time.

Sorry. I know I shouldn't quibble about grammar and spelling, but, right now, it makes it difficult to understand what you are asking.

And, about what excon said: he's 100% correct, as usual.
