Noises at night when I go to bed
The last few weeks, I have been hearing noises - loud noises - the minute I get into bed to go to sleep. The heating vent, at the foot of my bed, makes a clanging noise, quite loudly, whenever the heat comes on. In the living room area, it is as if people are moving furniture or pounding on the floor, or knocking, or hammering. Mind you, these noises NEVER take place when Im either sitting at my computer in the bedroom (and the heat comes on, but no noise), or watching TV in the living (no noise from the neighbors, no pounding, nothing); only when I turn out the lights and the minute I put my head on the pillow, is when the noises starts.
I live in very tiny studio in an old row house in Brooklyn (New York), and I don't know the history of the home. It is most definitely NOT noises of a house settling, as it is much too loud for that. Ive been scratching my head over what it could be, but Anyone has any insight as to what this may be? Thanks!
