    Rivet Gun tool
The rivet gun works okay on items that are close together. But what
About items that are thick. The rivets I have are too short to go through 2 pieces
Of wood to come out the other side (See picture image two pieces) do the have rivets
    With a longer shank??

You don't have any pictures posted or linked.

But pop rivits as well as the other kinds do come in various lengths to allow for various material thicknesses... some may be difficult to find.

Yep but rivets aren't normally used for wood. What are you doing?

And a good point I forgot to mention. In wood you will HAVE to have metal on both outer sides or the pop rivits will simply and very easily pull right out. Because they don't expand very much.

There are other types of rivets. Cold rivets,Hot rivets, and pop rivets
Pop rivets are made for thin items.
