I have bought a 30"x60" glass shower ( 2 sides to put into a corner of the bathroom)and would like to install without a base. I presently have a concrete floor with a drain and plan to install a ceramic floor.I was told I can do this but not to use the bottom rubber casket that comes with the shower. Is this correct and what is the best way to build the floor for the shower?

Can be done but shower floor must slope toward drain and slope must extend well outside the shower. Shower door must be installed above the level of the bathroom floor outside the shower so that it can open.

If the door is above the floor, I wouldn't I have water pouring out under the door?

The door will need to have some kind of vinyl sweep stripping on it. This allows the door to open/close, but also keeps water from coming out from under the shower door during a shower.

Depending on the shower heads relation to the opening of the shower door you may also need this vinyl sweep stripping on the side of the door as well... ;)
