    Cooling Radiators. What's the cause?
My radiators are not working. The one nearest the boiler is stone cold, the next is cool, the third luke warm and so on. None of them are what you would call too hot to the touch. I've tried bleeding them but water flows out immediately, so that's not the taditional air lock; other than that I'm confused. Can anyone help?

    HI loonitoon...

Did all the radiators work fine earlier and they all of a sudden stopped heating up properly?

If so, then I have to figure that the circulator at the boiler, or one of the zone valves (if present) at the boiler aren't working properly and you are getting some heat via conduction but not via circulation.

Let us know more about your heat system and we may be able to help more, OK?

PS: I won't be in until later today, but I will check back.

    Hi There Mark,

Thanks for getting back to me. The system is a Gloworm Space Saver Mark II. Two of the three Radiators upstairs are now too hot to touch for more than a second, the third one is warm but OK and the four down stairs go from luke warm to the one next to the boiler which is totally cold.

The gas is on and it fires up and the water is heating up in the taps. Hope this helps you a bit more.

    Cheers

    Karl

    HI Karl...

I'd bleed the 1st floor radiators for a couple cups each just in case there is a pocket of air caught up in the loop and causing issues with your circulator.

You do have a circulator.. yes or no? Let me know, OK?

Does that mean that you tried to bleed the system at each radiator? Or does it mean that you bled the system somewhere at the boiler?
