If anyone can answer this I would appreciate it a lot. How can my husband adopt my daughter? Her biological father is not on the birth certificate, would this make it easier? The only father she knows is my husband. Please advise, Thanks!

Your daughter's biological father needs to terminate his parental rights, thus opening the door for your husband to adopt her. So, you need to find this person and ask him if your husband can adopt your daughter. You do need an attorney in Family Law - that person can explain the paperwork and the notices that go in the newspaper and the court proceedings. You have to give your daughter's biological father the opportunity to be heard, whether if it is to say "yes, I will terminate my rights" or not. You cannot proceed with the adoption without that key piece. If you truly can never find this guy, you need to show the court verification of what all was done to find him.
