I am an Indian, came to Washington DC, US for work in June 2009 and stayed till February 2010. Considering this, I passed Substantial Presence Test for 2009 (207 days in 2009). I lived in Virginia during my stay in US and paid State taxes for Virginia along with Federal taxes. I am single.

With this background, can experts please let me know response to the following query:

Q1. What will be my filing status for filing Virginia State taxes returns for both 2009 and 2010 and Which forms I should use for 2009 and 2010 for filing Virginia State taxes returns?

You lived in Virginia from June 2009 to Dec 2009 so you are part year resident of Virginia for 2009.
You lived in Virginia for whole year in 2010, so you are resident of Virginia.
