In 98% of the cases, you must file Schedule C and (probably) Schedule SE to report the income on a Form 1099-MISC. This means you must, for 2006, file Form 1040.
What exactly did you do to get this 1099-MISC, and how much money are we talking about?
I received it for work done for a contractor,it is 3500.00. I also have income from a w-2 form and want to clam eic but not sure how to figure it with the income from the 1099 and w-2
You need to get professional tax help. A tax return with a Schedule S and SE and probably Form 4562 is a bit much for a layman.
