    I have a Levition also
Its suppose to be a 220 plug for my dryer but its upside down and there is a coil of wire coming oout the top. Bottom if it was put in right. I just painted and noticed it and was wondering if its safe with that coil of wire just laying there? Thanks

This wire should be removed. May be hot.

Shut off breaker. Test to be sure.

Remove plastic cover. If wire is attached to screws, remove it.

    Remove wire from box.

Make sure wire from breaker is attached to screws and is tight.

Put cover on and cover hole where wire was with duct tape. This will keep anything from getting inside outlet.

Turn on breaker. Should be good to go.

Chuck is right. Looks like someone may have tried to add a circuit by tapping off an inside power feed. Looks like a piece of 12AWG and that would never power a dryer. Be Careful.
