    How ican I wire an outlet up to an exsisting light switch
    I need an outlet and there is a light switch close buy with 3 wires how can I hook into this to have direct power to an outlet

    Not to worry thanks it was a three way switch for a light, and I called an electricain who guided me threw.

    Just curious, but how did you get the receptacle to work properly.

    A 3 way switch only has ungrounded (hot) conductors. Where did you get the Neutral (White) to complete the circuit?
