Have tips for Allure floating vinyl flooring?
We want to replace carpet in our computer room with the floating vinyl (adheres to itself)flooring we saw at home depot. It will be covering an OLD in-laid tile floor that has imperfections and is not level. Has someone out there used this flooring who can make recommendations? We're concerned about the surface, and also it is a computer room, so there are two rolling computer chairs at use on the surface daily. Is this a good choice for us?
    Thanks!

The only way around imperfections is to skim coat a surface filler or use a masonite or plywood underlay. Level doesn't make a whole lot of difference and you would need to jack the floors or house. I used this in a basement area, on a slab, and it has worked well but I do not roll chairs on it. It actually looks good and a number of people thought it was a wood floor. If you go with it, do not directly roll on it, the wheels of the chair make a tremendous point load. Get a chair pad at Office Depot or other office store.
