I can only remember one of the scenes, but hopefully it will work.

There are a bunch of children in a room with several adults. The kids uncover a strange rod with a dogs head on it. The dog head is lifelike and can make sound effects and move around. The adults try to intercept the rod but the kids push them away and a few of them use profanity.
