Legally, for dating her, no. If her parents say no, yes, you can with them.

I agree with Wondergirl---age of consent is 17yrs unless your are in position of authority over her--like a teacher,boss,etc then she must be either 18yrs or older.


I also hope that you have enough respect for her to have permission from her parents to date if she is still living under their roof!!

Do her parents know about you dating their daughter? They ARE the law in their house.

Jd, keep in mind that there are other ways to 'get in trouble' besides dating. You're old enough to know you should look at the whole picture and not just the one factor.

I am not saying you drink or she does, but... You are old enough to legally drink alcoholic beverages. She isn't.

While it may be legal to have sex, it doesn't stop the possibility of the pregnancy aspect of 'getting in trouble'.
