Can someone put a password stealer on my computer?
I believe when my laptop was worked on they insatlled a password stealer program. I get notices via email saying I loged on at such and such a time and a totally different town then the one I am in. Tired of changing my password via my phone constantly. Can you please help me wipe this out, I know it's there I just don't know where.
    Thank you

Unlikely it was when it was worked on... it likely came as an email attachment or a website you visited.

It's possible. You'll need a rootkit/keylogger scanner to see if one is present. You can try this: SUPERAntiSpyware.com - SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner

Thanks Need I will try it... as for email attachment I download nothing, so I guess maybe a website . I still believe this guy did something to track me, I do know he has done it before this is why I am now concerned. Also no I did not know about this prior to having him clean up my laptop I found out after the fact.

You don't HAVE to download anything via an email... all you have to to do is open an infected email---and trust me... plenty of unsolicited emails from people you don't know are infected. And you won't know when it happens unless you have a really good internet protection suite installed already. Not just an antivirus alone.

While it is possible he did something... the reality is most infections happen when nobody but the user touches the machine. And most people really aren't aware of how and from where they can get it from. Trust me... I know a lot just like that.
