I'm installing a 60 amp subpanel 10 feet away from my main 200 amp service. I ran #6/3 copper to the sub panel. I understand that I have to not use the green screw that connects the neutral buss to the metal case. And I should connect the bare copper to the case and the white neutral to the neutral buss in the sub panel . My question is how do I hook up the bare copper and white neutral wires in the main panel? Thanks Rob

The bare (grounding conductor) is connected to the ground bus. Hots are connected to the breaker and Neutral is connected to the Neutral bus.

At the sub panel these two (Neutral and Ground) must be isolated from each other.

IN most cases your main panel will have a neutral buss which is also the grounding bus. If this is the case, you will connect both the neutral and the ground to this buss. However, in the sub panel these must be kept separated. You will need a grounding buss in the sub panel separate from the neutral buss. The grounding buss will be bonded to the panel, and the neutral buss will NOT be. You must use a grounding buss, not just connect it to the case, since all of the circuit grounds will be connected to the grounding buss separate from the neutral.
