I have a dodge Ram defrost works fine but if you change to floor heat or dash vents u only get cool air out of drivers side, and hot out of passanger, I'm stuck.

It's a blender door issue. See if there are Electronic Air Temperature Control (EATC) on-board diagnostics that you can run on your climate control system. Here, for example, is how it's done on many Fords:
