I was dating a guy for awhile and he turned out to have some major issues. I filed a TPO against him because he did not want me to break up so he threatened me and my families lives. So now he wants everything he ever gave me or my children as gifts back including cash gifts. I never ever loaned money from him. He would like sneak money in my purse when I wasn't looking or when I wanted to pay for something he would not take it. Now he wants everything back. Can he do this?

He seems to think he can, but a gift is a gift. Its only his way of getting control back, and make you think you owe him something. You don't. Like you said, he has issues. Protect yourself.

To answer your question. No, he can't do it. If he really felt the need to get "his things" back, he can take you to court... I doubt he will win.

Yes gifts are gifts , but some people can get really nasty when they don't get what they think is owed to them.
It seems as if it's not the actual items that he gave you that are most important here, it's seeing you unhappy cause in his mind you have made him unhappy. So he will try and threaten you and go through great lengths to get you back(revenge)
