I cannot get the last section of pipe into place.

I cannot move the copper.

I have to be extremely careful not to break the pvc where it goes into the drill pipe.
Over the years it has filled with mud... so even if it's a 1" inside the 3", it has no play.

I'm trying to redo it with pex and quick connects (no glue), but still have no room to get the last section in, no matter which way I come from.

I cannot cut anymore on the piece going to the addition.

I'm really stuck... help !

Can you use a copper slip fitting

•The ridge in the standard coupling automatically centers it when the coupling is used for making a splice in pipe. The slip coupling can be slid along the tube, but it must be centered by measuring at each joint.

Maybe if the valves were right next to the tee, there'd be more flex. I know 3/4" pex doesn't flex much at all in such short lengths.

I'm not totally clear on the valves, but in my opinion, Parttime nailed it here in terms of fitting the tight space... ;)

Use SLIP COUPLINGS (no stop in the middle of the coupling so it can slide back and forth) and you should be all set. Here, you would clean the copper pipe a little further up the pipe, place the slip couplings onto the pipe and slide them back and out of the way. Drop the pipe in place and then slide the slip couplings into place. Be sure to mark where you want the slip coupling to stop so you can be sure that the coupling covers both copper pipes equally, OK?

Not familiar with copper slip fitting (none of this really).

Right now the copper from house has a sweated female on end.

I used a copper fiiting with male on one end and a pex fitting on other (no glue fitting opposite male thread)

With the copper slip fitting... I would have to cut off the end and do some more sweating/soldering ?

Yes... you would cut the pipe, clean the copper pipe an inch or longer on each pipe end, flux the copper pipe and the slip coupling, push the slip coupling onto the pipe an inch or so, install the other copper pipe end and then SLIDE the copper slip coupling into place and then solder the slip coupling.

The "slip" fitting... this is based on the copper length from house being straight... right ?

It's not... I have approx 12" pass house slab, but the whole section has a curve to it.

This copper section is approx 30 years old.

Copper this old... can no longer be bent/reshaped ?
