How to hook up a three wire thermostat?
I have the old round honeywell thermostat with three wires white, green, red and now I want to hook up my new thermostat which is a honeywell rth230b thermostat. But I do not know which wire goes where because on the old thermostat the white is hooked to the y which is easy to figure out where that one goes but the green is hooked to a 4 terminal and the red is hooked to a 5 terminal. On my new thermostat is a Rh-Rc-W-Y-G so where do they go. If anyone can tell me that would great I'm in Minnesota and it's cold here. Thanks

    R--red
    W to white
    Is all you really need
But you can tie the green to G, if you like
