My boyfriend is very responsible, he wants to be there for the baby and me, he work his *** off. Now my mother is trying to get legal guardianship of my son suposably because of insurance purposes, when I have medicaid, I want my baby I don't want her to take it from me, oh and we are both healthy, we don't do drugs we are resposible parents but if we turn to my mom's side she is a total hell in the house... what can I do to prevent that from happening?

Be a responsible parent and don't give her a reason to try to get custody. How old is your boyfriend?

Of course, you realize that you are still a minor and your mother still has guardianship of YOU, and will until you are 18 years old.

In some instances, the insurance company may allow your mother to add coverage for your child because you are a minor.
