80s animated film - need title!
I remember a animated film from the 80s that was dark and creepy (at least in my child's mind).
I think the main character was young boy. And the plot centered around the villain turning people into pixelated cutout figures to which he would build his evil castle with.
The only other piece I vaguely remember is a certain part of when the day turned to night. A woman flew over the sky with her cape as wide as the screen. As she passed over she covered daytime with her night cloak and then disappeared.
Does any of this sound familiar? Or was I dreaming...
