This movie aired in the late 70's or early 80's. It was about a married couple whose daughter was terminally ill and they decide to have another child in hopes that it's a match for (maybe) bone marrow for the ill child. One of the daughter's names started with an A and was an unusual but beautiful name. I want to say it was the daughter that they ended up having to help the terminally ill daughter. I think I remember something about the terminally ill daughter being in the hospital in a quarantine tent. I realize that this sounds A lot like My Sister's Keeper but the movie that I am speaking of was from YEARS ago. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I found this - it's a made for TV movie based on the real life story of Anissa Ayala (I agree, an unusual and beautiful name;))- a book was also written about her story, and My Sisters Keeper is based of the book. This movie came out in the 90's, not the 70's or 80's - but I think it fits what you have described...

Yes, this does appear to be the movie I remember. Gosh, time really does fly, doesn't it! Lol
I knew when I read My Sister's Keeper that I had seen a TV movie that was parallel in so many ways.
