    Well I would say that it would take 4 hours. The 70 mph car is going 10mph faster so in 4 hours it should be 40miles ahead.

    well the problem would be 70 - 60 = 10 so 40/10 = 4. Yes there is a problem here that someone does not understand. Why do you not see one.

    It seems we have a bug in the system. The problem shows just fine using the "new skin" for the web site. It is:

    "Two cars each traveling at a constant speed one 60 mph and the other 70 mph start at the same time from the same point traveling in the same direction. After how many hours will the distance between them be 40mi?"

    But the version that Unkown008 and I use (the "old" skin) the question does not appear. Strange.
