Can pcos cause a false positive ovulation test
I have both endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome I have fairly regular periods (28-34 days) and I have my period for 3 days total day 1 is light pink day 2 hot pink and heavier and day 3 bad to very light and light pink but I've been checking my ovulation and I detected my peak the day I was suppose to start my period and then started my period 4days later... is it just possible to ovulate days before your period or was it false... I have the saliva based fertile scope

Have you been tracking your cycle for ovulation very long? It can sometimes take a few months or so to see a pattern with urine or saliva tests.

PCOS won't effect the results, but because PCOS often results in irregular ovulation that could be what occurred in this situation. While it can happen that you might have had a late ovulation, it is not the norm, and a pregnancy would not usually be sustained if conception did happen to occur due to the drop in progesterone to trigger your period.

It is also possible that you caught a surge in estrogen but it was not associated with ovulation. This is one reason why tracking for a few months helps to get a better idea of a pattern, if one can be determined, and why ovulation predictor kits of any kind can be frustrating for many women.

It is possible to ovulate right before your period. I know PCOS can throw off your ovulation cycle as well. I'd check with your ob and see whatthey think. Good luck!
