What model number and are there any safeties that need to be figured in? Basic wiring is 120 volts to the furnace, once in the furnace the high volt goes to the blower and the transformer; low volt goes from transformer via red wire to thermostat and back to furnace via another wire ( i.e.. White) the white goes to the safety that regulates the gas valve, green goes to fan relay, yellow goes to a/c. don't forget low voltage electricity has to "loop" or complete the circuit (a wire must land on the common leg of the transformer). I know this is vague and I hope it helps, please let me know.

repairman_red, are these all 120 volts?

Most of the safeties are 24 volt on those furnaces with the exception of fan/limit controls. Those were either only high voltage or split with the limit being on the low voltage side and the fan staying on high voltage. Flame roll outs and back-draft/flue temperature safeties are usually low voltage as well.

Is there a specific safety you wish to know about?
