You was a passenger... its not uncommon
I do not think it is against the law to -not- take the info from a passenger. Like smoothy, its not uncommon.
---I was a passenger in an accident, they did not ask anything of me other than if I was OK.
The cops are primarily interested in who was operating the vehicle's at the time of the incident. They aren't required to document everyone involved.
Why do you even want your name associated with the wreck? If it's for insurance purposes, the person driving at the time could affirm your presence by way of an affidavit.
