Right, basically me and my best friend went to the same party as this girl back in October, I say party I mean sleepover with booze. All 3 of us stayed up all night chatting, but she seemed more interested in me, leaning against me and hugging me. He made it clear on the walk home next morning he liked her, I kept it secret and did the gentlemanly thing and stepped aside and supported him. I got him pumped up to ask her out before christmas, but she bottled it and wouldn't speak to him, so he presumed she didn't like him and 'got over her'. My feelings have never really gone, and me and this girl are so close now we are near on best friends, they arnt. I had her on her own last night, and from nowhere she said'i did consider going out with (my best mate). It crushed me. Is this because she still likes him that she mentioned it? Anyway because I'm a good friend, I told him, and he's told me he never really stopped liking her. So once again I'm convincing him to ask her out, Out of the blue this time. I put up a tough front, but I'm crushed really. What do I do? Im 16 and they are both 17 by the way, and don't say this is teen love, because I'm past that. Cheers

If you were past it, you would know what to do, with both her, and your friend. You would know you are in the friend zone, no chance for romance, and stop pumping up your friend up because, its up to him to do his thing with no help from his best friend.

The missing fact you two don't take into account... she knows full well you are best friends, and talk to each other about HER!! She is very well aware of what she is doing, and what you two are trying to do. As a friend, stop encouraging him. And never talk about him to her, and I do mean never.

She has effectively made you here spy, and confidant, for her own purpose and reason, and to be very honest, if I were your friend, I would have told you to butt out of my business, and this girl would be the last female I would pursue at all. WHY? Because you two are to close for my taste in g/f's.
