    Stuck on algebra
    suppose weekly gross pay (W) can be calculated using the formula

    W=N*R+1.5*V*R

    where N is the normal hours worked and R is the normal hourly rate

    rearrange this formula to make V (overtime hours) the subject

    1. Subtract N*R from both sides.
    2. Divide both sides by 1.5*R

    What do you get?
