I was wondering if my 19 y.o. who lives in an apartment should claim himself on his taxes. We would get a larger refund and would share with him but I want to know if it would help him with financial aid to claim himself.

Did you provide more than half of his total support?

Did he make LESS than $3,650?

If he made more than $3,650, was he attending college or technical school at least as a half-time student?
