    Uneven closet flange
I'm about to install a toilet in my basement and the closet flange is uneven. The floor is concrete. One side of the flange is above grade and the otherside sits approx 1/4" below. How can I solve this so that my toilet does not leak?

They sell closet flange extenders, and the kit may come with plastic shims for leveling, or you can buy them in the tile department.

Thanks joypulv. Can 2 wax rings work to?

Yes, but some people claim that makes the toilet sort of move around when you sit on it..

    Hi all...

I'd purchase an EXTRA THICK reinforced wax gasket and extra long closet bolts for this job... should be all you need!

If you think it's that bad, double up on wax gaskets, but DO NOT use the ones with the plastic horn encased in the wax,you want strictly the wax ring type! This will guarantee a good seal,

Thanks to all. I used a closet extension kit and it is a success.
