Possible leak from bottom of water heater
There a slow leak from the bottom of my water heater... it is an older heater. I plan on replacing the water heater in the next 2 days. Should I turn off the water valve to the heater when not in use?

Yes, and release the pressure by opening a hot water tap. If the old tank ruptures it will flood the house.
