Va aid and attendance 1099 form?
My father receives monthly aid and attendance benefit from the VA. Is this reportable for tax purposes and if so how is the form retreived?

Did your father receive W-2 or any 1099?

Yes he received one from Social Security and one from his pension but did not receive one from the VA.

Which forms did he receive? In which box the income is reported. Normally pension is taxable income.
Part of SS benefits may be taxable if he has other income.

Both are 1099 forms. The SS form has a $$ amount in box # 3 and 5. The pension form has an amount in boxes 1,2a and 12a.

Almost without exception, a pension from the VA is tax-exempt.

The Social Security benefits CAN be taxable if your total income (NOT counting the VA benefits) exceeds a set level, usually about $28K.
