I have a 10 year old daughter, her Dad and I have join custody, but he's in jail and I need to move to another country for a couple of months, I am married and have 2 more kids with my husband that we are also taking with us, does anybody knows what are the steps I need to take to get sole custody of my Daughter, I appreciate any information.

You file a petition with the court that issued the custody order for a modification of custody.

Or get the child's father to agree in writing. It might be a good idea to have that writing notarized.
