Can a debt collector freeze banks accounts?
I share bank accounts with other people, if one person on the bank account has a judgment against them then can the debt collector freeze the entire account.

Yes... most definitely. They do it all the time.

Yes, if you are in there you are out of luck to get your money out. However, in order to take money out of a bank account a collector must have a 'turnover order' from a judge.

I would suggest if you think there is a possibility this will happen, then you should take steps to remedy the banking situation the best way you can.
