    State tax filing for part time resident
    I came to US (california) on 06-06-2011 from India on L visa for first time . While filing my state tax,I am slecting the option "Did you become a California resident during 2010?" as "yes". After selecting this option,its asking for "State of Prior Residence". I am coming from different country,what should I select here?

    Please help me in filing state tax.

    Most tax software allows you to enter FOREIGN for a foreign country.
