    Water pressure at washing machine
The water pressure at the washing machine is low . When you first turn it on the water come out with a huge burst of water and then slows doen to a trickle. Turn it off and back on does the same thing a huge burst of water and nslows down again water pressure in the rest of house is good. This problem started when the water was shut of to fix a leak in the shower

Is this hot, cold or both?
What type of repairs were made, what kind of pipe do you have?

Not a pressure problem, but volume problem. That first gush says you have plenty of pressure but when it trickles its because low volume. Does it act the same if you switch the machine from cold wash to hot wash?

Check both ends of the washer supply hose for screens, and also the inlet port that the hose hooks to on the washing machine for screens. If there are screens, clean them out.

While checking for screens in hose as MGD advised, hold bucket under valve, open valve to check flow from pipe.
