    You don't have a choice. A child cannot choose which parent they live with. If the non custodial parent is agreeable, they can petition for a change of custody. But the decision will be left up to a judge based on what the judge feels is your best interests.

    Do you have contact or visitation with your father? He is the one who needs to take action at this point. How long have you been living with your mom?

    Most states vary as far as age of the child and if they will listen at all to any testimony. The child never decides which parent to live with that choice is always left up to the judge.

    After 18 you are free to live with whomever you like.
