What are the custody laws of wa for unborn children?
I want to move to Missouri state with my family and take her with me. Would it be best to move before she is born? I'm so scared that he will try to take her away. He has more money and income than me too. Will that affect anything?

Are there any court orders in place now? Is there an ongoing custody battle at this time? Has he been declared the legal father or signed papers stating he is the father ?

No none of that. We are still living together. I've tried to leave twice already but he won't let me. He says he won't let me go. He wants his baby to be with him every night.

I just noticed the title. Since the child isn't born yet you have no restrictions on where you go at this time. (sorry I thought you were talking about a child you had together)

If you are in an abusive situation then you need to leave.

He doesn't "own" you and he doesn't "own" the baby. He needs to realize this. Contact an advocacy group for victims of domestic abuse, &/or the police. He has no right to keep you against your will.

Here are a few links for people in Seattle: http://www.seattle.gov/humanservices/domesticviolence/, http://www.dawnonline.org/

And as Califdadof3 has told you, he cannot seek a custody order until after the child has been born.

    Thanks, Dad.

And I want to also say to Mmmy2b, call your family in Missouri right now. If I was your brother, father, or uncle I would be on the next plane to SeaTac.
