    Maine to Florida inheritance Tax?
    I live in Florida and received $17,000 from my mother's estate. She lived in Maine and passed away in June 2010. Do I need to report or pay any taxes on this inheritance?

    No - neither Maine nor Florida have inheritance taxes. Nor is there a federal inheritance tax. So - nothing for you to report!
