    Currys and faulty goods
    Hi

I purchased awasher dryer worth £329.99 from Currys on 03/01/11 and it was delivered on 07/01/11. Within 2 weeks I noticed that it was not drying the clothes properly and was in fact shrinking them. I contacted their call centre and was advised to pick a new one for exchange however upon going into the store to pick a new one I was told that an engineer would have to come out and verify the fault. 1 week later an engineer and found no fault however could not give a reason for the shrinkage of clothes. I am within their 28 days money back guarantee however as I opened the goods they will not honor this and will not help me any further stating that until a fault has been verified they are under no obligation to give me a refund. But clearly the goods are not fit for purpose and I do not see anywhere in the Sale of Goods Act where it states that I must prove there is a fault.

Please help I am a heavily pregnant mum with a disabled child at home and this worry on top on the inconvience of now having to do my washing in my mum's is unbearable.

    Many Thanks
    Laura
