Why is my neutral wire hot in my spa
We tried to connect our spa and found the neutral wire is hot,we have a certified licensed electrician trying to figure it out. Could the tub have been damaged from previous owner leaving power on while draining? We have gone over every connection and safety feature.

If it is a 240V unit, they probably have run the white as a hot. There is no neutral on a 240V.

Most 220v spas DO HAVE A NEUTRAL wire. Depending on how you're testing the voltage, it may be normal to be detecting voltage in the neutral wire.
